DES VAN NIEKERK holds an Honours Degree in Theology and has worked in community development specialising in designing and facilitating group and staff training and projects - focussing on conflict resolution, mediation and gendered youth development for more than20 years. Des’ publications include the Fatherhood Manual, Building Bridges and In the Hearts of Men.
JUDY KENNEDY holds certificates and training in adult education, train the trainer, community relations, trauma informed community development and life coaching. Judy has worked in designing and facilitating training programmes and workshops for more than 25 years for popular and political, activist and youth groups.
MIKE ABRAMS is a personal and organisational development facilitator and action learning educator. Mike focuses on integrating personal development, leadership and management practicewith active and healing centred learning methodologies.
RICHARD KLOOSMAN has a Masters of Ministry degree with training and experience in family and divorce mediation - working in community development as programmes manager and trainer on fatherhood and restorative justice programmes. Richard holds a black belt in karate, running a club in Strand, Western Cape for 40 students for 12 years.
CANDICE COLEMAN has a Diploma in Accountancy and works in financial administration, currently with the collective organisation International Labour Research and Information Group [ILRIG] for over a decade, serving on their Co-ordinating Committee in Cape Town.
TRACY-ANNE THEUNISSEN is a member of Thrive Social Development working with marginalised people in Bonteheuwel, Cape Town, her hometown. Tracy is dedicated to her family as wife and mother, a follower of Christ and passionate about community development, bringing positivity and an all rounder approach.
RONALD WESSO is a lifelong activist in labour, land and community movements, promoting anti-authoritarian, anarchist approaches. Currently Ronald is organizing a union called Autonomous – for job seekers and casualised workers and works in research and training focusing on natural resource justice in Johannesburg.
ROBYN MULLER MABUZA is an attorney based in Pretoria, Gauteng and is a fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law. Robyn's legal experience spans several sectors including in Mergers and Acquisitions, International Trade Law, Dispute Resolution, Defamation and Intellectual Property.
